COURSES DESCRIPTION

IS / Internship

IS 290 Internship 3 Credits
Prerequisite: Completion of 2 semesters
Internship is designed to provide students with on-the-job experience in actual work situations. Student will be able to strengthen competencies through participation in a variety of occupational experiences, ranging from routine assignments to specialized work-related duties. The course provides students the chance to develop their skill and integrate theoretical learning with practical applications. A mentor will be provided throughout the internship and students will discuss their experiences in a classroom setting on a weekly basis. This is a capstone course that a student will have to complete in order to get an Associate of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Business or IT.
