Library Operations

The Library aims to be an active learning resource centre that contributes to the development of graduates and scholars of the College, by providing a flexible open access learning system and a diverse collection. The library is equipped to provide adequate resources and services to support the needs of the College’s programs. The Library collection is over 9000 titles, all classified according to Dewey Decimal Classification System and catalogued according to Anglo American Cataloguing Rules.

Open access system of library enables students to browse books at leisure. The resources include books, journals, magazines, newspaper and journal archive, video and CD collections. The services include reference services where the Librarians provide research assistance to students. Referral services are also available with the Librarians providing faculty members and students with useful URLs and links. An orientation given to students at the beginning of the course ensures good usage of the library collection. The library has 10 computer workstations for use for Internet based research and other academic needs of students. The Librarians at all times provide on an as-needed basis, one-on-one training and assistance to students on how to access and locate information in all available formats.
