The Emirates College for Management &
Information Technology (ECMIT) located
in Al Nahda Area II, Dubai, was set up
in 1998 to meet the challenging demands
of the student community in the UAE.
It is a private, accredited two-year
institution offering Associate of Science
degree in Business or Information Technology
that is of high quality, yet accessible,
convenient and affordable for students
who vary in age, background, and ability.

The primary mission of ECMIT is to prepare

potential. While special emphasis is placed

of the institution’s responsibility
to its students—to inform and stimulate
the mind, to develop character, personality,
and ethical conduct.
The college is, therefore, dedicated
to providing its students with a variety
of educational experiences that encourage
them to develop as individuals; it fosters
in the students, understanding and appreciation
of people and helps them gain career skills
that allow them to contribute to the professional
and personal environments around them.
The college provides an opportunity to
enhance and upgrade academic qualifications
and professional skills to those who wish
to continue their studies after a break
in their education. Education at ECMIT
is affordable, with the option of paying
fees in installments. The admissions requirement
for academic qualification is U.A.E, Secondary
School Certificate or its equivalent showing
an average of 55%+ and a TOEFL score of
500.

ECMIT’s Associate of Science graduates
have the choice of either proceeding to
advanced levels of education in a number
of countries around the world, or of going
straight into employment. Special articulation
agreements like those with several UK
and US universities enable ECMIT Associate
degree holders with prescribed coursework
to enroll on to the final years directly
and complete a Bachelor’s degree
in Business, Computing, Accounting or
Business Information Systems from these
universities by studying at a distance
right here in Dubai. They can also physically
transfer to campuses in UK, US or India.
