ECMIT encourages students to expand their horizons outside the classroom by participating in student activities. These involve roles of ‘Admission Ambassadors' – where current ECMIT students represent the institution serving as hosts for campus events. Others serve as ‘Orientation Leaders' by helping new students become familiar with the premises. Yet others serve as ‘Peer Assistants' and are hired by ECMIT each year to help students launch their careers by helping current students write winning resumes and cover letters. These also assist the Career Planning Staff with job fairs, employer outreach, interviewing, and promotional materials. Student Activities also include clubs such as: the Cricket Club which plays intercollegiate tournaments; the Football/Basketball Club; the Table-Tennis Club; the Badminton Club; the Volleyball; the Reading Club; the Environment Club; the Band; the Students' Union; the Editorial which comes up with the Newsletter at the end of each semester. ECMIT has expansive air-conditioned facilities for indoor sports like badminton, volleyball, table-tennis, a pool table, fully turfed cricket nets and lots more. ECMIT also uses a spacious lounge with a television for entertainment and a café for serving food and beverages.
